Marty Sampson

Marty Sampson (born 31 May 1979) is a Christian songwriter and a worship leader at the Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. Originally featuring in the Youth Alive albums of the late 1990s, he was one of original Hillsong United worship leaders. Guitar is his main instrument and he occasionally plays the piano. He was married in November 2006 to Michelle. They now have a son named Phoenix.[1]
Marty Sampson was a former worship leader for United together. His last album with United was the 2011 release Aftermath. He often leads worship at church and has continued his strong contributions for new Hillsong albums. Since his departure from United, he has kept working on his craft of songwriting. He also helps with the worship at Northern Beaches, a Hillsong extension service.
In 2007 Marty Sampson released a solo EP entitled "Let Love Rule."[2]
In 2010 Marty Sampson entered the studio in the US to record an album under the band name "The Red Bikes". It was recorded with James Rudder at the studio helm, Luke Munns on drums, Michael Guy Chislett on guitar, and Paul Malbury on bass. The album has not yet been released.
In 2011 Marty Sampson released a solo EP under the name Martin Sampson called Objects. It is an acoustic guitar folk album in the vein of Bob Dylan. The songs were recorded at the same time as the Red Bikes project.
